  12. The LNE100 drivers in the MSLANMAN.DOS and MSLANMAN.OS2 diectories
  13. conform to the Network Driver Interface Specification (NDIS) 2.0
  14. as defined by Microsoft/3Com.

  17. NDIS 2 Driver Installation on LAN Manager v2.0
  18. ==============================================

  20.   1. Type "Setup" in the LAN Manager directory and press Enter.
  21.  
  22.   2. Choose "Import Network Drivers..." in the "Action" field.
  23.      Press <Enter> to continue.
  24.  
  25.   3. Insert your Driver Diskette into either drive A: or B:.
  26.      Then press <Enter> to see the list of Imported Network
  27.      Drivers on the screen.
  28.  
  29.   4. Press the <Space> Bar to select the appropriate Network Adapter
  30.      (i.e. "Linksys LNE100TX Fast Ethernet Adapter(LNE100TX v4)"), 
  31.      then press <Enter> to confirm your choice.

  33.   5. Follow screen instructions to complete the process, until the Network
  34.      Driver appears on screen.
  35.  
  36.   6. Identify your Network Adapter if asked. For example, select
  37.      "Linksys LNE100TX Fast Ethernet Adapter(LNE100TX v4)" to confirm any 
  38.      LNE100TX Adapter.
  39.  
  40.   7. Select the <Add driver> and the <Add protocol> options. Then select <OK>
  41.      to confirm your choices. The Workstation's primary parameters should
  42.      appear on screen.

  44.   8. Respond to all prompts issued on screen to complete the process.
  45.      Select <OK> to confirm a choice.

  47.   9. Save all selections. Choose "Save" from the "Action Menu"

  49.  10. Press <F3> to exit.

  56.   1. Type "lmsetup" in the LAN Manager directory and press <Enter>.
  57.      The Microsoft LAN Manager Setup screen should appear.

  59.   2. Choose "Network Drivers..." in the "Configuration" field. Press
  60.      <Enter> to confirm your choice.

  62.   3. Choose <Add New Configs> and press <Enter> to display a list of
  63.      Network Adapter Drivers.

  65.   4. Choose <Other Driver> and press <Enter>.

  68.      drive location of the diskette and select <OK> to proceed.

  117.      choice. If you have chosen the TCP/IP protocol, you will be prompted to
  118.      key in the IP address, the subnet mask, and the default gateway (router).
  119.      By default, the workstation number of the NetBios session is set to 6.
  120.      Please consult Microsoft LAN Manager Installation Manual for more details,
  121.      or check the online help.

  133. to key in the default user name and domain of the workstation, as well as to
  134. answer the questions concerning the Windows environment and memory management.
