  18. Driver Installation for DOS32
  19. =========================================================

  21.  1. If you have completed installed the NetWare Client 32 for DOS,
  22.     all you have to do is to modify STARTNET.BAT.  Please see the
  23.     sample STARTNET.BAT below the installation instructions.
  24.  
  25.  2. Run INSTALL.EXE from NetWare DOS 32 diskette 1 (or from NetWare 4.11 CD).
  26.     Select "Client Installation" in "Select the type of installation desired"
  27.     window. Then select "NetWare Client32 for DOS and Windows 3.1x" in 
  28.     "Select client to be installed" windows. When the product manual appears, 
  29.     mark the "NetWare Client 32 for DOS" item, then press <Enter>.
  30.  
  31.  3. Select "USER SPECIFIED 32 BIT DRIVER" item from "32-bit Network Board 
  32.     Drivers" menu, then press <Enter>.
  33.  
  34.  4. Insert Linksys Fast Ethernet Adapter Driver Diskette into your floppy
  35.     disk drive, then specify the driver path like A:\Client32 or B:\Client32.
  36.  
  37.  5. Select " Linksys Fast Ethernet Adapter (LNE100TX v4)", then press
  38.     <Enter>.
  39.  
  40.  6. Set the correct driver parameters to comply with your network
  41.     environment, then press <F10> to continue.
  42.  
  43.  7. Following instructions to complete the Client32 for DOS software
  44.     installation.

  46.  8. Reboot your machine.

  65.     Please refer to "Driver Installation for DOS32", in step 2, mark
  66.     "NetWare Client 32 for DOS" and "Client 32 for Windows", then following
  67.     step 3..8 to complete the installation.

  69. Driver Installation for Microsoft Windows 95
  70. =========================================================

  72.  If you have installed the Microsoft Client in your Windows 95 system,
  73.  you should remove the adapter object and NDIS 2/3 driver
  74.  from Windows 95 system.
  75.  
  76.  Install Novell's files for Client32 drivers:
  77.  
  78.  1) Remove adapter object & driver in Network control panel.
  79.  
  80.  2) Run INSTALL.EXE from NetWare 4.11 CD
  81.     Select "Client Installation" in "Select the type of installation desired"
  82.     window. Then select "NetWare Client32 for Windows 95" in "Select client 
  83.     to be installed" windows.

  85.  3) Following Novell's instructions to complete.
  86.  
  87.  4) Shutdown and turn off the machine.
  88.  
  89.  Install Linksys LNE100TX Fast Ethernet Adapter(LNE100TX v4) Client32 driver:

  91.  1) Plug Linksys LNE100TX Fast Ethernet Adapter(LNE100TX v4) into one of the 
  92.     Master PCI slots of your PCI platform.
  93.  
  94.  2) Turn power on then boot from Windows 95.
  95.  
  96.  3) Windows 95 will prompt PCI Ethernet Controller in New Hardware
  97.     Found dialog box.
  98.  
  99.  4) Select driver from disk provided by hardware manufacturer, and
  100.     click OK.
  101.  
  102.  5) Following instructions to complete the installation.

  104. Note: Windows 95 will ask you to key in the proper path of the
  105.               following diskette:
  106.  
  107.            a) Linksys LNE100TX Fast Ethernet Adapter(LNE100TX v4) Driver
  108.               Diskette --> Insert Linksys LNE100TX Fast Ethernet Adapter
  109.               (LNE100TX v4) Driver Diskette, then, assign the path to 
  110.               A:\C32
  111.  
  112.            b) NetWare Client 32 for Windows 95 Disk
  113.  
  114.            c) Windows 95 CD-ROM

  116. NetWare DOS ODI Server Driver Installation (NetWare 4.11)
  117. =========================================================
  118.  
  119.     LNE100TX.LAN can be used as a NetWare 4.11 server driver.
  120.  
  121.     1. At the NetWare prompt (indicated by the Server name),
  122.        run the INSTALL.NLM program by typing:
  123.  
  124.        server name: LOAD INSTALL <Enter>
  125.  
  126.     2. Select "Maintenance/Selective Install" and press <Enter>.
  127.  
  128.     3. Select "LAN Driver Options (Configure/Load/...)"
  129.        and press <Enter>.
  130.  
  131.     4. Press the <Ins> key to specify other drivers to install.
  132.  
  133.     5. Press <F3> and specify the driver path (A:\NETWARE\SERVER\4.X)
  134.        and press <Enter>.
  135.  
  136.     6. The LNE100TX.LAN driver should appear in your choice list for
  137.        the 'Select a LAN Driver' field. Choose this driver to
  138.        start the driver loading and binding procedure. This
  139.        will allow you to load and bind all 4 frame types supported
  140.        by NetWare.
  141.  
  142.     7. Next time you start up your system, simply follow steps
  143.        1 to 3 to complete the installation.
