  3. ModemNews for Windows! Who would have thought it?
  4.  
  5. Three years ago when we started ModemNews Magazine we never thought we
  6. would have reached this point (we also never thought we would still be
  7. here three years later!). But here we are, and here we are in Windows.
  8.  
  9. ModemNews Magazine is now vailable in three formats;
  10.  
  11.         ANSI (the original)
  12.         Macintosh (DocMaker)
  13.         Windows (ToolBook)
  14.  
  15. All are released as Shareware ($3.00 per issue, if you like). All
  16. Shareware fees can only be collected by the staff of ModemNews.
  17.  
  18. No commercial charges whatsoever may be levied for a copy of ModemNews
  19. Magazine.  This includes download fees on BBS's, disk copying services
  20. and CD Title compilers. ModemNews can be added as a free addition to
  21. the aforementioned services however.
  22.  
  23. ModemNews Magazine is released as an alternative to other 'electronic'
  24. magazines that are out there and available for you. Rather than
  25. concentrate on computers and the computer industry we try to bring you
  26. a well balanced mix of writing, opinions and fiction. The beauty of all
  27. of this is that we are soley supported by you, our readers. Nearly all
  28. of our articles and features are provided by you, and we certainly
  29. could not have survived all this time had you not been there for us in
  30. the past, and, we hope, in the future.

  32. What you need.
  33.  
  34. For this ToolBook version of ModemNews Magazine you will need either
  35. the ToolBook runtime v1.5 or the full authoring version of ToolBook
  36. 1.5.
  37.  
  38. Copy the magazine into whatever subdirectory (or folder) you feel is
  39. most convienient (usually where the runtime will reside) and double
  40. click on the filename or use the RUN command from Windows' file menu.
  41.  
  42. We hope you enjoy our foray into the world of Graphical Interfaces.
