  1. Minimum System Requirements for 'We the People' CD-ROM

  5. WINDOWS:
  6. 1. OS: Windows 95 or higher
  7. 2. Processor: Intel Pentium (or equivalent) and faster
  8. 3. RAM: 24 MB 
  9. 4. Monitor: 800X600 resolution, minimum 256 colors
  10. 5. CD-ROM drive: 2X speed or faster
  11. 6. Browser: Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator, version 4.0 or higher.
  12.    The installer for Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 is
  13.    provided on the CD-ROM in the 'installers' folder.
  14. 7. QuickTime: QuickTime 3.0 or higher. The QuickTime 4.1.2 installer is provided on the
  15.    CD-ROM in the 'installers' folder.
  16. 8. Macromedia Shockwave Player 7.0 or higher. The Shockwave Player (including Flash) is provided on the CD-ROM in the    installers folder.

  18. QUICK START:
  19. 1. Insert the CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive.
  20. 2. Open the 'We the People' CD-ROM from Windows (via Explorer, My Computer, or Start/Run).  
  21. 3. Double-click "quickstart.html"  (If opening via Start/Run type "X:\quickstart.html" where X refers your CD-ROM drive).

  46. This program requires an Internet browser with Javascript enabled in order to run.
  47. If you cannot run 'We the People' CD-ROM, install the Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.X browser which is found in the Installers folder.
  48. Once the browser is installed, double-click on the setup.html icon and click on the "Browser Test" button.

  97. 5. Double-click on the file named "Shockwave_Installer_Full.exe" and follow the on-screen directions.
