  6. <H3>Character Layouts</H3>
  7. <p>Several character layouts are provided.  Some have additional variations with different numbers of columns.

  9. <p>Use the <b>Open Layout ...</b> pick on the <b>File</b> menu to choose one of the provided 
  10. layouts.
  11. <p>Design your own character table by selecting <b>Design Layout</b> from the <b>Layout</b> 
  12. menu.  Once you've done that, you can switch any characters on the layout by dragging one to its 
  13. new position with your stylus.  The character previously in that position will move to the original 
  14. position of the moved character.
  15. <p>You can add rows or columns after the one containing the selected character, or delete rows or 
  16. columns containing the selected box, with the appropriate picks from the <b>Layout</b> menu.  
  17. <p>You can replace a character in a selected box, or add a character to an empty selected box with 
  18. your HPC's keyboard.  Or pick <b>Add Characters</b> from the <b>Layout</b> menu to get a list of the
  19. complete set of characters available, including international characters.  Push the <a>Add</b> button
  20. to enter a character into the selected box.
  21. <p>Deselect <b>Design Layout</b> when you're done, and try out your new arrangement.  If 
  22. you don't like your changes, reopen the character layout you started with.  But when you've got a 
  23. layout you like, don't forget to save it.
