RIT offers an MFA in Imaging Arts with an Computer Animation focus.
Courses include 2D and 3D computer animation, scriptwriting, film language,
programming (interactive and C/C++) and students have access to a full
motion picture production facility. The emphasis is on concept development
and production NOT on simply learning pieces of software. Students are
award winners - last year "Shadow Puppets" a student produced animation was
in the Electronic Theatre at SIGGRAPH'94. Another student produced film
won an Academy Award! The program is 90 quarter credit hours (you have to
have this many hours to receive an MFA from an accredited school). Many
motivated students are able to finish the program in 2 years, others plan
to take somewhat longer.
Let me know if you are interested and I will send you more info (email me
