  10. CopyIcon is a powerful Shell tool to selectively copy Workbench icon
  11. image, position and frame data from one file/directory icon to another
  12. one. CopyIcon was originally designed for internal use at Cloanto as part
  13. of a set of tools for software installation, and to ease the maintenance
  14. of software master disks.

  17. INSTRUCTIONS
  18.  
  19. Running "CopyIcon" without any arguments will display the following
  20. instructions:
  21.  
  22.    CopyIcon [-options] FromObject ToObject [DrwPX DrwPY DrwSX DrwSY]
  23.  
  24.    options:
  25.            1       fix 'FromObject' colors if current O.S. is 1.x
  26.            2       fix 'FromObject' colors if current O.S. is 2.x
  27.            p       allow 'ToObject' (position only) overwriting
  28.            f       allow 'ToObject' (drawer frame) overwriting
  29.            r       allow 'ToObject' (image only) overwriting
  30.            R       allow 'ToObject' (image & data) overwriting

  32.    notes:
  33.            'FromObject' and 'ToObject' can be assigned names
  34.            'ToObject' can be a pattern-matching expression
  35.  
  36. Source and destination items can be either file or directory names,
  37. without ".info" at the end. To copy volume icons, "Disk" must be
  38. appended to the volume name, as in:

  40.    CopyIcon -R1 df0:Disk df1:Disk
  41.  
  42. The default action (no options) is to copy the full icon data (image,
  43. position, frame and other data), creating a new icon for the target file.
  44. Overwriting of an existing icon is not allowed by default (it requires
  45. the -R option).

  47. The -p options causes only the icon X:Y position data to be copied from
  48. the source to the destination. Similarly, the -f and -r options only
  49. cause the drawer frame data (for directories) and/or the image data
  50. to be copied.
