Integra Visual Database Builder (VDB) Demo
Version 2.00
README.TXT
Copyright 1991-94 Coromandel Industries, Inc.
This file accompanies the Integra Visual Database Builder
(VDB) for Visual Basic Demo. Integra VDB is also available
for use with C++ (Microsoft Visual C++ and Borland C++).
The demo consists of the following:
* This file
* An application program named 'Bookshop' that illustrates
some of the main features of the product
* An Access ODBC data source and associated tables
required to run the demo. The data source is
named 'AccBookshop'
* A help file that describes the following:
* Technical overview of Integra VDB
* New features in Version 2.00
* Step-by-step instructions for running the demo
* Features / Benefits demonstrated
* How to order the full Integra VDB product.
To install the demo, run the SETUP.EXE file in the
Integra VDB demo directory on your CD-ROM. You should
be running Windows before running the setup program. You
will need approximately 4.5 MB of free space on your hard
disk to install the demo.
The setup program will prompt you to choose an installation
directory. You can either use the default value of
C:\VDBDEMO or specify a different directory.
After setup is completed, you can start the demo. To do so,
double-click on the 'Bookshop Demo' program item in the
'VDB Demo' program group created by the setup program.
Step-by-step instructions for running the demo are included
in the help file, also installed by the setup program.
To open the help file, double-click on the 'Demo Help'
program item in the 'VDB Demo' program group.
Before running the demo, we recommend that you open the
help file and print it. You can then refer to the printed
document as you step through the demo.
Due to space limitations, the demo application does not take
you through the Design Mode of Integra VDB. To give you
an idea of how quickly applications can be built, the demo
application described here took only about four hours
to build and test.
