  10. This file accompanies the Integra Visual Database Builder
  11. (VDB) for Visual Basic Demo.  Integra VDB is also available
  12. for use with C++ (Microsoft Visual C++ and Borland C++).
  13.  
  14. The demo consists of the following:
  15.  
  16. *  This file
  17. *  An application program named 'Bookshop' that illustrates
  18.    some of the main features of the product
  19. *  An Access ODBC data source and associated tables 
  20.    required to run the demo.  The data source is
  21.    named 'AccBookshop'
  22. *  A help file that describes the following:
  23.     
  24.     *  Technical overview of Integra VDB
  25.     *  New features in Version 2.00
  26.     *  Step-by-step instructions for running the demo
  27.     *  Features / Benefits demonstrated
  28.     *  How to order the full Integra VDB product.
  29.  
  30. To install the demo, run the SETUP.EXE file in the 
  31. Integra VDB demo directory on your CD-ROM.  You should
  32. be running Windows before running the setup program.  You 
  33. will need approximately 4.5 MB of free space on your hard 
  34. disk to install the demo.
  35.  
  36. The setup program will prompt you to choose an installation
  37. directory.  You can either use the default value of 
  38. C:\VDBDEMO or specify a different directory.
  39.  
  40. After setup is completed, you can start the demo.  To do so,
  41. double-click on the 'Bookshop Demo' program item in the
  42. 'VDB Demo' program group created by the setup program.  
  43. Step-by-step instructions for running the demo are included 
  44. in the help file, also installed by the setup program.  
  45. To open the help file, double-click on the 'Demo Help' 
  46. program item in the 'VDB Demo' program group.

  48. Before running the demo, we recommend that you open the
  49. help file and print it.  You can then refer to the printed
  50. document as you step through the demo.
  51.  
  52. Due to space limitations, the demo application does not take
  53. you through the Design Mode of Integra VDB.  To give you
  54. an idea of how quickly applications can be built, the demo 
  55. application described here took only about four hours 
  56. to build and test.
