  51.   MS-DOS Kermit 3.14 for DOS and Windows 3.x

  53.    [4]MS-DOS Kermit is full-function communication software for DOS and
  54.    Windows 3.x (but not Win9x/NT/2000). Serial communications via COM
  55.    ports, internal modems, or Fossil driver, with automatic modem dialing
  56.    scripts for many types of modems. Network support includes TCP/IP
  57.    (built-in, with up to six concurrent sessions), AT&T StarLAN /
  58.    StarGROUP, DEC PATHWORKS LAT and CTERM, NETBIOS, Novell NASI/NACS,
  59.    Novell LWP TELAPI, 3COM BAPI, Beame & Whiteside TCP/IP,
  60.    Interconnections TES, Meridian SuperLAT, BIOS Int 14 support for
  61.    externally-established network connections, and others. MS-DOS
  62.    Kermit's built-in TCP/IP requires a packet driver (Ethernet or SLIP

  96.    The Kermit protocol specification, complete with C-language
  97.    programming examples, is given in the book Kermit, A File Transfer
  98.    Protocol by Frank da Cruz, Digital Press (1987), which also includes
  99.    tutorials in computers, file systems, data communications, and Kermit

  105.    Kermit software is distributed by Columbia University on CD-ROM and
  106.    certain diskette formats. Kermit 95 is available only in
  107.    shrink-wrapped and site- or bulk-licensed forms.

  109.    Kermit 95 must be licensed for use. Individual, academic site, and
  110.    bulk right-to-copy licenses are available. The following terms apply
  111.    to other Kermit versions.
  112.    
  113.    The Kermit software--including source code--is furnished without
  114.    warranty of any kind, and neither Columbia University, nor the
  115.    individual authors or publishers, nor any institution that has
  116.    contributed Kermit material, acknowledge any liability for any claims
  117.    arising from the use of Kermit. Since source code is available, users
  118.    may fix bugs and make improvements, and are encouraged to contribute
  119.    their work back to the Kermit Project for further distribution.

  121.    Kermit software may be ordered by private individuals, corporations,
  122.    academic or government institutions, and other organizations for their
  123.    own internal use, but the software may not be resold or otherwise
  124.    redistributed to external clients, customers, or users without written
