  11.                           disbanded for these atrocities and Janet
  12.                           Reno, Louis Freeh and Bill Clinton should
  13.                           face criminal charges.

  15. Description             : One awful day, the misguided management at
  16.                           your high-paying UAC desk job decides it would
  17. be a good idea to replace all the SGI Unix workstations with Apple Macs.
  18. You refuse to cooperate and soon your manager informs you that your
  19. services will no longer be required at UAC.
  20.  
  21. Like any red-blooded American, after weeks or months of brooding on this
  22. indignity, you determine that your only recourse is to grab your gun and
  23. as much ammo as you can carry, stroll into your former workplace and
  24. TAKE OUT AS MANY OF THEM AS YOU CAN before they get you.
  25.  
  26. You phone your buddy up to warn him.  "Better take the day off Monday in
  27. case something terrible happens."  "Huh, what do you mean?  What could
  28. happen?" "Just take the day off, do it!"
  29.  
  30. The day arrives.  Getting an elevator to yourself, you pull out your
  31. trusty Glock on the way up.  Funny, there didn't seem to be the usual
  32. number of people coming and going in the lobby.  And what about all
  33. those black vans parked outside and all the black helicopters buzzing
  34. around. Could your buddy have squealed?  Nah...
  35.  
  36. The elevator door opens.  AGGHH!! The building is crawling with Federal
  37. Law Enforcement agents, the same Gestapo-like goons responsible for the
  38. death of Vicky Weaver and the Waco massacre!  The elevators are locked!
  39. Barricades have fallen into place in the stairways!  The building is
  40. surrounded by machine gun nests!  The heavily armed Feds have plastered
  41. Clinton posters everywhere!  Can you show these guys that an armed and
  42. desperate psycho is not so easy to kill as all those unarmed women and
  43. children?  Can you blast a path to freedom?
  44.  
  45. Installing DISGRUNT:  Go to your doom directory and extract the files
  46. using the `-d' option of PKUNZIP:
  47.  
  48.     pkunzip -d disgrun1.zip
  49.  
  50. The `-d' option makes it preserve the directory structure in the .ZIP
  51. file.
  52.  
  53. For maximum white-knuckle enjoyment, you will want to perform the
  54. graphics sprite changes.  DISGINST.BAT will invoke the perl script that
  55. does the actual install or uninstall.  You will be asked whether to
  56. install or uninstall.  Say `I' to install.  DISGINST works by using
  57. DMGRAPH to replace images stored in DOOM.WAD (make sure you have
  58. DOOM.WAD backed up somewhere just to be safe).  DISGINST saves the
  59. images it replaces in a directory called DISGOLDS; this directory must
  60. exist for the uninstall procedure to work.

  62. The changes are:

  64.     barrel => Apple Macintosh 
  65.     former human trooper => FBI Rifleman
  66.     former human sergeant => Shotgun-Wielding BATF Agent
  67.     imp => Special Elite Flamethrower-Wielding BATF Agent
  68.         (Due to the heavy load of highly flammable napalm carried
  69.         by this type of BATF agent, a mere bullet or shotgun round
  70.         can cause the same grisly explosion with chunks of flesh 
  71.         flying everywhere usually seen only with a rocket hit).
  72.     demon => Law Enforcement-style German Shepherd
  73.  
  74. When these disturbing changes become too oppressive to your shattered
  75. nerves, run DISGINST again and answer `U' to the `Install or Uninstall?'
  76. question to restore your DOOM.WAD to its former state.

  78. Play as with any other WAD:

  82. Comments: The level is modelled after a single floor of a former
  83. employer's building.

  85. I'd be interested in hearing from anyone who can help me transform the
  86. cyberdemon into a tank.  I would think there'd be a view of a tank from
  87. all eight orthogonal and diagonal directions floating around
  88. somewhere...  A similar 8-way view of Janet Reno's head would be way
  89. cool, picture it pasted onto the torso of a cyberdemon... perhaps with
  90. the FBI logo on its' chest...
  91.  
  92. I considered the possibility of using the 1666hoe.deh patch to get the
  93. chain gun trooper, but this would have limited my wad to DOOM 1.666
  94. only, and the the changes 1666hoe makes are so extreme I think some
  95. people would be reluctant to use it.  You would have to deinstall it
  96. after each game or face rocket-launching imps, etc. in the next game.
  97. I'm releasing this in it's present form in case there is not enough time
  98. to continue working, but I'd like to polish up some of these cosmetic
  99. details and possibly do more levels.  Anyone know where I could get a
  100. floor plan of the Branch Davidian complex?
