  7. Installing DOOM/MeTaL- Ver 1.0 is quick and easy!

  9. I assume you alerady unzipped the DM_METL1.ZIP because you're reading one
  10. of the two files that is in the DM_METL1.ZIP file, but if for some strange
  11. reason you haven't unzipped DM_METL1.ZIP do so, and unzip it to your DOOM
  12. directory (for convenience).  Three Files emerge:
  13.  
  14. FILE_ID.DIZ  : Description File
  15. METAL.WAD    : PWAD that contains the sounds
  16. METAL.TXT    : This text file
  17. GROUPS.DOC   : Listing of Groups/Albums used in sound creation
  18.  
  19. I am sure you've added a NUMBER of levels/graphics/sounds to DOOM in the
  20. past but for those that this is new to, to add the sounds, put the METAL.WAD
  21. file in the same directory that DOOM is located in and type:

  23. DOOM -FILE METAL.WAD
  24.  
  25. You'll be on your way to the music that'll make you enjoy DOOM a lot more!

  27. NOTE:  To get the most out of this PWAD file, you might want to drop the
  28. music in the game down to nothing since the sounds that are added ARE the
  29. music! =)
