  29. 1.  System Requirements: Operating System - Win95/Win NT 3.5x/WFW/Win 3.1
  30. Memory - 4 meg/8 meg recommended.  Hard Disk space - min 3 meg
  31.  
  32. 2.  CDC Testware features:  CDC Testware gives the user the ability
  33. to create a database of questions, take timed/untimed test, and track 
  34. results.  
  35.  
  36. USAF:  members preparing for the WAPS Testing have the ability
  37. to create, modify, and maintain a database of test questions taken
  38. from the CDC volumes or any other source.  Once test questions are entered
  39. into the database, the user can take volume, unit, or section test which
  40. can be timed per question or per test.  Results of the completed test
  41. are displayed in a Parento Analysis chart. Parento Analysis charts
  42. depict the areas needing the most improvement.  This will allow the user 
  43. to naximize study time by concentrating on the areas needing the most
  44. improvement.

  46. CDC Testware also features a Screen Saver, which when 
  47. activated, will display the database questions and answers randomly on 
  48. the screen.  This is an excellent way of repetitively study the questions
  49. without much effort.  The speed at which the questions are displayed
  50. can be controlled by the user.

  52. CDC Testware includes a WAPS Analysis module which allows the user to
  53. do analysis of WAPS scoring (what if senarios) depending on scores from
  54. EPR/APR, TIG, TIS, and Awards and Decs.  With this module you can forecast
  55. the score needed for promotion.

  57. 3.  Installation instructions:  Run Setup.exe.  This will install the 
  58. core modules for the CDC Testware application.  If for some reason the following 
  59. message appears, "File Not Found", or if the software does not initially install 
  60. correctly, reinstall the software by running CDCSetup.exe.

  62. 4.  Installation errors:  During the installation, if you receive the following
  63. error "Cannot copy [Filename] because the file is in use.  Continue [Y] Yes
  64. or [N] No."  Choose Yes to continue.

  66. a.  Under Windows 95, ocassionally the icons for the program items are not created.
  67. To create icons:  1. Right click on Start bar. 2. Click Properties. 3. Next, click Start
  68. Menu Programs.  4. Select Add.  5. Next, click Browse.  6. Double Click WinTest folder.
  69. 7. Next, Double Click Wintest.  8. Click Next.  9. Click New Folder.
  70. 10.  Enter the folder name: "CDC Testware".  11. Click Next.  
  71. 12. Finally, enter shortcut name: Testware.  13. Repeat steps 1-8.  14. Skip step 9.
  72. 15.  Select Folder CDC Testware.  16. Click Next.  17. Enter shortcut name: "ScrnSpd".
