  40.     While not required, the Moderator recommends the use of the
  41.     BlueWave Offline Reader. It is both quick and easy to install
  42.     and use (excellent mouse and extended memory support too). It
  43.     supports nine out of ten BBS message bundle types in wide use
  44.     today including QWK (QWK, QW1, or QW2, etc.), Maximus, Telegard,
  45.     Opus, QBBS, RA, and SBBS. BlueWave should be available on a BBS
  46.     near you. If not, ask your SysOp for it.

  72.     The purpose of this conference is ultimately to provide a vehicle for
  73.     the seeking of Biblical Truth, and truth about the Bible. This is an
  74.     open forum for debate relating EXCLUSIVELY to the Holy Bible, it's
  75.     history and culture. This includes investigating the credentials of,
  76.     and methods used by, scholars who interpret related Biblical matters
  77.     (history, language, archeology, etc.)

  79. PROHIBITED for All Participants

  81. __ Claims/topics regarding religious organizations or religious
  82.    practices/tenants, that are not related to, or are not derived
  83.    directly from, the Bible. THIS IS NOT A COMPARATIVE RELIGIONS
  84.    CONFERENCE! This is an essential and central doctrine of the
  85.    policy for this conference.

  104. Determinations Regarding Flaming

  106. In keeping with FidoNet Echo Policies, the following is used as a
  107. guideline to determine if "flaming" is being practiced:

  109. __ If you accuse someone of being "biased", "bigoted", or
  110.    otherwise dishonest in their study, YOU MUST give evidence of
  111.    such or your accusations will be interpreted by the Moderator
  112.    as slander without evidence (which is not permitted).
  113.  
  114. __ If you are accused of being "biased", "bigoted", or otherwise
  115.    dishonest in your study, and evidence is provided by the
  116.    accuser, YOU MUST face the challenge and prove otherwise. You
  117.    are on your own in this. If this makes you uncomfortable, DO
  118.    NOT POST YOUR GRIEVANCE IN THE ECHO, but rather answer the
  119.    accusation as best you can with your evidences.

  122.    participants, the Moderator will not intervene. The readers
  123.    are left to their own conclusions.

  127. Discipline of Participants

  129.     Determinations are made on a case by case basis by the Moderator.
  130.     In the event of a violation, the moderator will contact the Sysop
  131.     of the offending user and ask that access to this conference be
  132.     denied him. Further violation may result in cutting this
  133.     conference feed to that BBS.
  134.  
  135. Ninety (90) Day Probation

  137. Revoked privileges will be reinstated only upon completion of
  138. the following:
  139.  
  140. 1. Participant must wait ninety (90) days from timestamp of
  141.    notice of revocation before requesting reinstatement.
  142. 2. Participant must netmail a REQUEST FOR REINSTATEMENT to the
  143.    Open Bible Moderator (please place in title of netmail).
  144. 3. Within the Request For Reinstatement, participant must
  145.    include the following statement and promise to uphold it:

  147.     "I promise to adhere to the Open Bible Policy, or permanantly
  148.     forefeit my privilege to post in this conference."
  149.  
  150. Complaints/Grievances from Participants

  152. Posting complaints in the conference is a grave violation. All
  153. complaints are to be lodged privately with the Moderator(s).
