MACHW (Macintosh Hardware) Conference Rules, last modified 1/24/98
MACHW (Macintosh Hardware) is an international FidoNet conference dedicated to
the discussion of the hardware aspects of the Apple Macintosh and Macintosh
clone line of computers and peripherals connected to them. All levels of
expertise are welcome from the neophyte to the design engineer. Topics under
discussion include but are not limited to; the Macintosh & Macintosh clones,
displays, storage devices, input devices, output devices, and much more. The
discussion of software is discouraged except as it applies to hardware.
No advertisements of any type are allowed. (use MAC4SALE to make your deals)
Violators of this rule may not receive any warning. This is the "No Spam" rule
subject to the interpertation of the moderator!
Discussions of BBSes, Fidonet & the Internet do not belong here. Try MACCOMM.
Other echoes which may be more appropriate for your discussions include;
SYSTEM7, MACSW & MAC_GAMES. This information is provided as a public service.
Hubs and other feeds are not permitted to edit/modify the contents of this
echo. If there is a problem it should be brought to the moderator's attention.
Posting or quoting Internet routing and other off-topic information is not
permitted. Posting addresses other than for Fidonet Netmail is discouraged.
English is the prefered language for this conference. If you can't be
understood, you won't get much help.
Alias identities and handles are not permitted. You must use your real name.
The use of ANSI and the IBM extended character set is not permitted.
Tags are limited to one line (80 characters including spaces & punctuation).
Obscenities are not permitted.
Communication of information is what this conference is all about. The easiest
way to facilitate meaningful communication is to quote the pertinent portion(s)
of any message you reply to. This way even those who are just picking up on the
thread will have some sort of insight as to what is being written about.
If you have hardware questions and/or answers, bring your real name and come
join the conference.
Remember, the only dumb question is the question that is never asked!
The moderator's decisions are final.
