  8. INTERNATIONAL ALLFIX FILEFIND ECHO RULES

  11. This is the FidoNet InterNational FileFind echo, EchoTag FILEFIND,
  12. coordinated out of 1:124/8002.20 by Jeff Schrunk. This echo is for the
  13. finding of various files on systems that are currently running
  14. ALLFIX(c) File Processor or some other compatible processor.
  15.  
  16. ** All systems carrying the FidoNet "FileFind" echo should post the
  17. rules to this echo in a place that all Users that call your BBS can
  18. view before they post here.
  19.  
  20. FILEFIND Echo Rules:
  21. 1.  No flames or personal attack or insult. If anyone has a problem
  22. with another in this echo send netmail to the Moderator and he
  23. will deal with it out of the echo.
  24.  
  25. 2.  NO illegal activity or item may be advertised.  Any
  26. person breaking this rule will be immediately removed
  27. from the echo.  No warnings, no exceptions.
  28.  
  29. 3.  Taglines that are inflammatory or otherwise judged inappropriate
  30. in the echo by the other sysops of the net shall be prohibited. If in 
  31. doubt as to whether yours might be in violation ask yourself "would
  32. this be likely to bother others".

  34. 4.  Quoting is not allowed generally unless there is a problem with a
  35. FileFind message that a user or sysop has sent.  If quoting is done
  36. it must be limited to the part of a message that one is replying to 
  37. and may not exceed 25% of the original message.

  39. 5.  Testing (test messages) of individual systems in this echo are
  40.     NOT ALLOWED!!!  PERIOD!!!!

  42. 6.  No BBS Ads
  43.  
  44. 7.  Be friendly.
  45.  
  46. 8.  No New Files Announcements.  This is a FileFind area not a New File
  47. Announcement Area.

  49. 9.  Arguing with the moderator in the echo is defined as
  50. "excessively annoying" and may result in the immediate cutting of feeds.

  53. Strong suggestions:    (Not mandatory, unless they are abused)
  54.  
  55. 1.  Don't take offense at some things that are said. If it offends
  56. you then just ignore it.
  57.  
  58. 2.  Flaming someone because you feel that their point is wrong with what
  59. you think could cost you access to FILEFIND.
  60.  
  61. 3.  Hold down the Ascii Art.  Some systems choke on the
  62. wrong characters.

  65. I'll add or subtract from this list as necessary from time to
  66. time. All of your input is appreciated.

  68. ** Persons breaking the rules will be first publicly warned in this
  69. echo. A subsequent violation by the same person will result in
  70. a personal netmail warning being sent out. A third infraction of
  71. the rules will result in that person being removed from the echo.
  72. Any such requests will be sent in netmail.
