  13.  
  14. Boss Everyware assembles data about computer usage 
  15. and user work time: which software the users/employees
  16. are using and when and how long the users have interacted 
  17. with each software/window. The data is recorded appropriately 
  18. formatted such that it can be imported easily by a database 
  19. management system or by a spreadsheet application.
  20.  
  21. The 40K hidden program reports user's actions into 
  22. a text or encrypted file. Report files can be easily 
  23. imported by MS Excel or a DB-management system or 
  24. viewed and handled by a supplied utility. 
  25. It is possible to integrate reports from several
  26. LAN-stations into one report file at run-time.

  29.   which is easy to use. 
  30. ╖ Doesn't affect the normal functioning of the system. 
  31. ╖ No additional DLLs required. No system updates needed.

  36. Boss Everyware lets EMPLOYERS observe and record how their
  37. Employees really "interact" with their computers. 
  38. "Interacting" is defined as: "what the user was really 
  39. doing at any particular time and not which programs he/she 
  40. had started that morning and kept on in the background while
  41. playing Solitaire all day."

  43. It is also useful for PARENTS who want to control how their 
  44. Children are interacting with the family computer (e.g., 
  45. computer games, learning software, Bart SimpsonÆs Web Site 
  46. or DadÆs on-line banking service).

  48. Boss Everyware can also be useful for SYSTEM ADMINISTRATORS who
  49. can now track user actions which may have caused a system failure.

  51. Furthermore, it could help SOFTWARE DEVELOPERS find
  52. which parts of their projects are the most time consuming.

  55. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

  57. The Boss Eweryware is 32-bit application designed 
  58. for Windows 95 only. 
  59.  
  60. It was not tested on Windows 98 and Windows NT 5.0. 
  61. It will not run on Windows NT 3.X and Windows NT 4.0.

  64. INSTALLATION
  65.  
  66. Copy all the files contained in the archive into an empty
  67. directory and run INSTALL.EXE. Follow the simple instructions
  68. which appears on the screen.

  71. PROGRAM STATUS

  73. This program is a shareware. You can use it for 30 days, and 
  74. if you still want to use it, you should register it. 
  75. This unregistered (trial) version shows the remainder 
  76. screen every hour. The registered version does not.
