  16. 1. What is EasyMath ?
  17. EasyMath is a program of mathematics, easy to learn and easy to use. It's useful for
  18. making graphs, symbolics calculations and Numerical Analysis.
  19. EasyMath is a Shareware program.
  20.  
  21. 2. Installation procedure:
  22. to install EasyMath: copy all files of the distribution in a temporary directory,
  23. close all applications in use and run "setup.exe".
  24. Once the installation is completed, remove the files copied previously in the 
  25. temporary directory.

  27. 3. Known problems:
  28. 3.a. Visualization of the "coolbar":
  29. so that the "coolbar" (the toolbar in Internet Explorer style) of EasyMath
  30. can be visualized without any problems, it is necessary to have installed the file
  31. "comctl32.dll" with a version number of 4.70 or superior. 
  32. If this file is not updated, at the start of EasyMath there will be an error message
  33. and a continuos flickering of the monitor.
  34. This version of the file is surely installed if you have Internet Explorer 3.0
  35. or later. If at any time the updated version of this file is not installed into your system,
  36. it is possible to have it through the distribution of EasyMath and can be inserted manually
  37. in the directory "system" of Windows. This is how:
  38.     1. Exit from Windows and start a DOS session;
  39.     2. Position yourself in the subdirectory "system" of Windows 
  40.         (normally cd c:\windows\system)
  41.     3. Rename the file comctl32.dll:
  42.         copy comctl32.dll comctl32.bak
  43.     4. Delete the file:
  44.         del comctl32.dll
  45.     5. Copy the new file from the distribution of EasyMath to the subdirectory "system"
  46.     6. Restart Windows.

  48. 3.b. System file msvcrt40.dll (Visual C Run-Time library):
  49. There are problems of memory exhaustion if the version of this file is 4.2 or later
  50. (EasyMath use the version 4.10.6038 or the version 4.00.5270): please verify if some other
  51. software updates this system file (this file is located in "system" subdirectory).

  104. 5. Registration of this Shareware version:
  105. Registration of EasyMath is for 25$ (U.S. Dollars). To register EasyMath, please run
  106. the program "Register", in the directory of EasyMath (or choose the menu
  107. Help/Register EasyMath). Registration process is handled by Kagi Software: please refer
  108. to the file register.hlp or visit the Kagi web site (www.kagi.com) for the details.
  109. The author will know from Kagi about your payment, and will sends you the registration
  110. number (that will unlocks your shareware copy).

  112. 6. License of use (PLEASE READ CAREFULLY):
  113. The software "EasyMath 1.0" is a SHAREWARE software, and as such it is understood
  114. that it can be transferred and can be used for free ONLY AS SHAREWARE VERSION.
