  3. Let Auto Page call your pager after your phone rings.  Set
  4. Auto Page to wait enough time to allow a person to leave a
  5. message on your answering machine, and Auto Page will
  6. make the callout to your paging system.
  7.  
  8. If you have an external modem, ensure your modem is turned
  9. on when using this program.  Internal modems are always on,
  10. when the PC is on.
  11.  
  12. Auto Page is easy to configure.  Once changing the initial
  13. setup to fit your needs, this information will be saved into
  14. AUTOPAGE.CFG.  If this file does not exist, it will be created.
  15.  
  16. Note: Nothing is saved until you press <OK> at the main menu.
  17.  
  18. Auto Page will continue to call your pager if the phone is busy.
  19.  
  20. Auto Page supports comports 1-8.  Most modems are set to
  21. either comport 1 or 2, a small percentage are set to 3 or 4.

  25. Set the number of rings to count before triggering a countdown.
  26. The most requested feature for Auto Page.
  27.  
  28. Add the word Time to the number to send to your pager and get
  29. a time stamp.  This is a great feature for those of us who do
  30. not have time stamping on their pager.  Time uses the 24 hour
  31. time format. Time is formatted as HHMM.  The word 'Time' may
  32. be in any case. Sample formats are:
  33.  
  34.     999-Time    Sends 9991200 (if the time is 12:00 noon)
  35.     999-TIME    Sends 9991330 (if the time is 1:30 pm)
  36.     853-1212    Sends 8531212
  37.  
  38. Passing arguments on the command line to bypass pressing
  39. enter is gone.  A timer of 5 minutes now bypasses the need
  40. to press enter. This feature allows you to put AutoPage
  41. into your Startup folder or load it in your Win.Ini file,
  42. and in case of power failure, the program will continue to
  43. run as expected.

  45. The CRC check for corruption and the Non-standard IRQ and/or
  46. Base Address options are not is this version. Sorry for any
  47. inconvenience.

  49. Auto Page will only dial out to your pager once per run,
  50. if not not registered.

  52. Auto Page now uses a configuration file for the settings.
  53. The file will be created and looked for in the directory that
  54. Auto Page resides.
