  6. The Math Solutions CDROM is a collection of Math related programs and
  7. files for MS DOS, MS Windows, and Macintosh.  There are plenty of
  8. math programs, related files and solutions for every math enthusiast
  9. to enjoy.  This CDROM is an invaluable resource and a good reference
  10. that contains solutions to both common and complex math problems.
  11. Also included on this Math CDROM is the entire HP48 calculator
  12. archive.

  17. MSDOS Quick Start

  19. Change to your CDROM drive and type "view" (without quotes).

  51. The files and applications on this cdrom are sorted by category.
  52. To access the files or applications you can double-click on the item you
  53. are interested in or if the files are compress, you have to uncompress 
  54. them before using. There are utilities on this cdrom specifically for 
  55. this task, they are in 'MacUtils:Compression' directory.
  56.  
  57. Hints: Stuffit Expander in the "MacUtils:Compression:Stuffit Utils"
  58. directory can uncompress all the most common formats.  Copy "Stuffit
  59. Expander 3.5.2 Installer" to your local hard disk and install this
  60. first.  Once it is installed, you can just click on the compressed
  61. files and drag-and-drop it on the "Stuffit Expander" icon. 
  62. The compressed files are identified by their filename extension
  63. ie, the 'program.zip' ends with a .zip extension.  This will tell you
  64. that the file 'program' is compressed using the zip compression
  65. format.  
  66. Here is a list of other common compressed files that you can
  67. uncompress with Stuffit Expander:

  79. Note: some folders include a readme document.  You should
  80. read the readme document before opening any files or applications.

  84. MSDOS and MS Windows users
  85.  
  86. To make browsing the disc easier, we have included the VIEW program
  87. for MSDOS and Windows in the root directory of the CDROM.  This
  88. program allows you to page through the index files, browse through
  89. the images on the CDROM, view the documentation and uncompress the
  90. program(s) you want onto your hard disk.  
  91.  
  92. In order to start up the VIEW program, do one of the following:
  93.  
  94. For MSDOS: just type in VIEW to start to view this document.  For
  95. Windows: From the Program Manager, choose the RUN option under the
  96. FILE menu, then enter "D: VIEW" at the run option bar.  (Substitute
  97. your CDROM drive letter for "D" if it is different.)
