  2. NOVELL ANNOUNCES 10-USER VERSION OF NETWARE v3.11

  4. PROVO, Utah--Sept. 16, 1991--Novell, Inc., developer of NetWare
  5. systems software, today announced a 10-user version of NetWare
  6. v3.11 which is currently offered in 20-, 100- and 250-user
  7. versions.  The new user configuration is being added due to
  8. increased demand from customers for a lower-cost entry point to
  9. Novell's powerful, enterprise-wide network operating system.

  11. "The 10-user version of NetWare v3.11 is designed for customers who
  12. have offices with less that 10 users who use all of the NetWare
  13. v3.11 services," said John Edwards, director of marketing for
  14. Novell's NetWare Products Division.  "These customers want the
  15. file, print, communications and database services available in
  16. NetWare v3.11."

  18. The Same NetWare v3.11 Performance, Interoperability and
  19. Reliability
  20.  
  21. The 10-user configuration offers the same high performance,
  22. interoperability and reliability of the other NetWare v3.11
  23. configurations.  NetWare v3.11 utilizes a 32-bit, multitasking
  24. architecture and supports DOS, Windows, Macintosh, OS/2 and UNIX
  25. workstations.  In addition, NetWare v3.11 offers reliability
  26. features such as disk duplexing, read-after-write verification and
  27. disk mirroring.

  29. Remote sites and small branch offices of large corporations
  30. standardizing on NetWare v3.11 can also take advantage of
  31. additional NetWare Loadable Modules (NLMs) offered by Novell.

  34.  NetWare for SAA v1.1 provides connectivity to IBM mainframes and
  35.  AS/400 host computers
  36.  
  37.  NetWare FTAM offers connectivity to the OSI computing environment
  38.  
  39.  NetWare for Macintosh v3.0 provides interoperability with the
  40.  Macintosh computing environment
  41.  
  42.  NetWare NFS gives UNIX customers transparent access to NetWare
  43.  v3.11
  44.  
  45.  NetWare SQL allows applications to concurrently share a common,
  46.  secure relational database

  48.  NetWare Link IPX Routers provides wide-area network connectivity

  51. Availability and Pricing
  52.  
  53. The 10-user configuration of NetWare v3.11 will be available from
  54. Novell resellers beginning October, 1991.  Pricing in the United
  55. States and Canada is U.S. $2,495.  Pricing for other NetWare v3.11
  56. configurations is U.S. $3,495 for the 20-user version, U.S. $6,995
  57. for the 100-user version, and $12,495 for the 250-user version.
