Accessing UnixWare Technical Information
==========================================================================
To access UnixWare technical information through FOLIO, you must have
Microsoft Windows installed under Merge on your UnixWare system, or use
a separate DOS/Windows system.
Accessing UnixWare Technical Information through Merge
==========================================================================
Once you have installed Microsoft Windows under Merge on your UnixWare
system, you can access UnixWare information by performing the following
steps:
1) In a UnixWare Terminal window, mount the NetWork Support
Encyclopedia CD-ROM (you must be root user):
mount -F cdfs /dev/cdrom/c0t4l0 /cdrom1
NOTE: If the nseunix software is running, the CD-ROM will
already by mounted.
2) Make a /usr/folio directory on your system:
mkdir /usr/folio
3) Copy the files in the /cdrom1/programs/win directory to
/usr/folio:
cp /cdrom1/programs/win/* /usr/folio
4) Link the infobase file on the CD-ROM into the /usr/folio
directory:
ln -s /cdrom1/nsepro.nfo /usr/folio/nsepro.nfo
5) Start Microsoft Windows by clicking on the "Win" icon in your
Applications Window.
6) Once Microsoft Windows has come up, select "Run" under the file
menu and enter:
c:\usr\folio\bviews nsepro.nfo
7) This will bring up the NetWork Support Encyclopedia (NSE)
Infobase. For instructions on how to navigate through the
NSE Infobase, refer to the documentation which came
with your NetWork Support Encyclopedia.
8) Once you have finished accessing the UnixWare technical
information, unmount the cdrom:
umount /cdrom1
9) For subsequent accessing of the NSE, perform steps 1 and 5-8.
Accessing UnixWare Technical Information from a DOS/Windows system

the DOS/Windows installation instructions which came with the NetWork
Support Encyclopedia.
