This geoSHELL command simply loads in the preferences data from 'filename' and changes the system variables. The 40 column mouse color, mouse definition, border color and fore/background colors will be changed. Also the mouse speed variables will be set. If you have a 128 and the preference file is a v2.0 file then the 80 column monochrome fore/background colors will also be changed.
Example:
pref Preferences
This will load the standard system Preferences file.
As with all geoSHELL commands that use a filename you will need to use an up-arrow terminator on multiple command lines.
Example:
pref writepref^ run GEOWRITE^
This will load the Preferences file named writepref and run geoWrite.
The file 'filename' may reside on any active drive/partition or the PATH partition.
The syntax allows you to rename the system Preferences file and have more than one preference file available. You can change the preferences for each application that you run.
