  38.      Someone mentioned that since Mircrosoft has not disclosed what "codes"
  39.      it uses for formatting text (e.g. bold, etc.), then developing a
  40.      program to convert C= word processing files to Word would not be
  41.      possible.
  42.  
  43.      BUT Word can import many different types of word processing files,
  44.      such as the generic Rich Text Format.  This format was designed to
  45.      import formatted text from word processors that Word does not have a
  46.      SPECIFIC import file for.
  47.  
  48.      Maybe we can figure out how to convert C= word processing files into
  49.      Rich Text Format, and then have Word convert it to a Word doc.

  62.      I am trying to get my Pocket Writer (for C64) to print with my
  63.      SuperGrafix Sr. and my Panasonic KXP2123.
  64.  
  65.      Which driver (in Pocket Writer) and which dip switch settings should I
  66.      use?  I can get it to print unformatted text just fine, using the
  67.      ASCII and Commodore drivers.
  68.  
  69.      A couple of the other drivers print the formatted text but put in
  70.      either too many lines (making the text double spaced) or too few lines
  71.      (printing all of the lines on the same line).

  73.      I know that the printer drivers can be loaded and modified while in
  74.      Pocket Writer, but I do not have any idea of what or how to change
  75.      them.  For example:  if one of the lines in the printer driver says,
  76.      "CR (no LF):"  what do I type to get it to DO a carriage return with
  77.      no line feeds?

  90.      Last night I tried to make a backup copy of my Pirates! disk using
  91.      Maverick, but neither of the copies I made worked!  >:-<

  93.      I used the parameter (custom copier) for "Pirates! v2"

  125.         Or if you want, you can import as TEXT ONLY and go from there.  I
  126. have used the 'text only' import many times.  Yes, it is a pain in the
  127. butt to have to redo the overall format, but it can be done.

  151.         You also have to use the parameter menu as well.  For most
  152. commercial programs, you have to add a boot parameter after you have
  153. copied the disk to a backup.  After you boot up Maverick, use the
  154. parameter menu instead of the copier menu.  Then find out what type of
  155. copier to use, copy the program, then use the parameter menu to load the
  156. parameter for the specific program.

  158.         Then you put the backup disk in drive 8, and copy the parameter
  159. over to it.  The backup disk should then boot up with no problems.  The
  160. only flaw in this that I have found, is Print Shop will not work properly.
  161. It seems to lock up after boot up.  One of these days, I'll figure it out.

  174. Whenever I load ACEterm, the bps is always set to 2400.  So I always have
  175. to change it to 14.4.  Does anyone know how to get around that so that it
  176. is always set to 14.4?
