I have been trying for years to find some software that will convert my
old c-64 disks to something I can convert to a format I can read off my
486.
I heard that there was a program at one time called, "Big Blue Ball", but
apparently its out of publication.
Do you have any ideas?

I think you are talking about the Big Blue Reader that allows you to read
and write to a ms-dos 5.25 disk using your 1541 (or was that 1571). You
