- I am presently using Omnitronix's rs-232 interface. What I would like to know
- is what is the difference between this one & the one from Jameco, and the Vic
- 1011a (which is in a doodle rest file). When I printed out the schematic for
- the 1011 interface, I did notice that there is no 555 timer like the Omnitronix
- interface. Is the 1011 compatible with the c128? I also read in the Jameco
- catalog that their interface is only compatable with the c64. Why?

- I am running a Jameco interface. Since I don't have the others, I won't be able
- able to compare. But here is what the Jameco doesn't have:
- pin 8 to pass carrier detect from the modem to the computer. Your terminal
- has to be able to read the modem response (ie: connect) to go to terminal mode
- instead of looking for carrier detect. The Jameco works just fine with the 128.
