- RANDOM MAGAZINE

- Random Magazine is a magazine devoted entirely to Commodore 8-bit users.
- Random offers the latest in information for Commodore users, along with providing
- articles on current Commodore topics, such as GEOS, modemming, accelerators,
- programming, the Internet, and much more. Each issue also includes numerous
- columns on subjects such as modemming, BASIC and machine language
- programming, stories of other Commodore users, modemming, game hints and tips,
- Late Breakin' News, software and hardware reviews, and much, much more.
- Random Magazine is a professionally printed bi-monthly magazine. A
- Companion Disk is also available. The Companion Disk consist of one or two 5.25"
- disks or one 3.5" disk, and includes all public domain and shareware programs
- reviewed in the current issue of Random. Also included are commercial product
- demos, and, in some cases, complete commercial programs through special
- arrangement with software producers. Random began publication in March of 1993,
- and will continue to support the Commodore market into the 21st century.

- OUR SUPPORT

- Random Magazine completely supports the Commodore 8-bit market. Random
- is written by Commodore users for Commodore users. We offer support for subscribers
- in the following ways:

- By writing to our offices in Clovis, California, we will promptly respond to any
- questions, comments, or suggestions you may have. If you are in any way dissatisfied
- with Random, you can write to us here and we will try our best to remedy the situation
- or offer a refund if you wish.
- via Email
- This is the quickest and most convenient way to contact us. With the death of
- Q-Link, we no longer have a Q-Link email address. However, we have accounts on both
- GEnie and Delphi, and can be written to via those email systems or through the
- Internet.

- We have a 24-hour voicemail/fax line dedicated to Random Magazine
- subscribers. Faxes can be sent to this line, or you can use our automated 24-hour
- voicemail messaging system. A representative can be reached by pressing '0' at the
- main menu, or a message can be left. Through our voicemail system, we offer
- subscribers a chance to place subscription questions, comments about the magazine,
- order back issues, request refunds, along with many other options, 24 hours-a-day, 7
- days-a-week. Our 24-hour voicemail/fax line is (209) 323-7841.

- BACK ISSUES

- When placing an order for a Random Magazine subscription, one can request
- back issues to be sent along with the most recent issue. While not all issues are in
- stock, the following back issues are still available.

- maximize your Commodore system.
- Issue 2 Special GEOS issue. 60 pages. Limited quantities. Reviews

- Issue 3 Special piracy issue. 60 pages. Includes review of new
- Sleepwalker, Street Fighter II, and Pitfighter for C-64,
- special GEOS column on games, several articles on
- piracy and its effects.
- Issue 4 Firsthand look at the C-65, complete guide to modemming,
- examines so-called Information Super Highway, new
- Commodore Support column.
- Issue 5 Special issue on Making Money with Your Commodore,
- advise on advertising your software, article on the
- Internet and how to access it, list of Commodore FTP
- sites on the Internet, technical discussion of copy

- Issue 6 Examination of the downfall of Commodore, user
- comments on the death of Commodore, special article
- on the Internet, first look at GEnie, technical article on
- the integration of your Commodore with your telephone.

- A one-year subscription is 6 issues, a two-year subscription 12 issues, a

- SUBMISSIONS

- We are very interested in any and all information regarding Commodore 8-bit
- computers. If you have written an article you think may be of interest to Commodore
- users, please send it to us via U.S. mail or email. Submissions which are used in
- Random will result in free subscriptions, as well as payment of $5 to $50. Other facts
- and tid bits about Commodore are always welcome.
- In addition, we are currently looking for technical writers who may be
- interested in writing regular or semi-regular columns on: machine language
- programming, CP/M, MIDI, the Internet, and Advanced Programming. If you feel you
- are up to it, please contact us.

- Not currently available, The Commodore User's Guide to Modemming provides
- complete information on what a modem is, how you use, and what it can do for you. It
- is intended primarily towards the beginnner and intermediate user, and provides
- step-by-step information on how one actually uses the modem to connect to a BBS,
- major online service, or the Internet. Also included is terminal software, along with a
