  45.  This is an alternate file selection
  46.  deskTop for the GEOS v2.0 64 only.
  47.  This will not run with GEOS 128 or
  48.  lower versions of GEOS 64.
  49.  Payton Snider, the author, had a
  50.  problem with the upload of this file,
  51.  so he sent it to me for uploading.
  52.  This is an Auto-Exec program that only
  53. works with GEOS 64 2.0. It can either
  54. be placed on a work disk and clicked on
  55. the same as any other application, or
  56. it can be placed on your boot disk
  57. (AFTER all other Auto-Exec files). When
  58. GEOS boots, WormDesk will ask for the
  59. DATE and TIME. Simply enter these from
  60. the keyboard. If you have a battery
  61. backup clock, the correct time will
  62. already be displayed -- just hit
  63. RETURN. It will then load in the
  64. Preferences, Pad Color Preferences,
  65. Input Driver and Printer Driver. It
  66. then changes the default deskTop name
  67. in the GEOS KERNAL to "WormDesk" and
  68. then jmp to EnterDeskTop to run the
  69. initialization code at $5000. WormDesk
  70. allows you to exit back to the normal
  71. deskTop for file handling as well. The
  72. changes to the KERNAL are not
  73. permanent. You can remove WormDesk from
  74. your boot disk and boot GEOS just like
  75. before.
  76. WormDesk will allow you to use up to
  77. three drives if you have a REU. A
  78. maximum of 144 files can be accessed
  79. from the File Select Box. You can OPEN
  80. or PRINT application and data files,
  81. and check for files on all three
  82. drives. Data files cannot be opened on
  83. Drive C unless the parent application
  84. is also present on the same drive.
  85. However, even then, the author won't
  86. promise the results (I had no problems,
  87. however). Displays the INFO box on any
  88. file selected, had a displayed
  89. date/time, and the type of equipment
  90. connected within the system.
