  45. BigClipper will allow you to make almost any size
  46. /photo scrap you want from a geoPaint file.  There
  47. 9are a few restrictions based on the way photo
  48. Cscraps are handled by geoWrite and geoPaint.  The
  49. Mheight and width must be an even multiple of 8
  50. Wpixels. Also, since color information applies to an
  51. a8x8 square, and BigClipper does not require you to
  52. kmake your clipping on an even 8x8 square, BigClipper
  53. uignores color, and stores the clipping as black on a
  54. grey3 background.  There is an 8k buffer limit, so
  55. some clippings may be too big or complex to fit.
  56. To create a scrap, you will need to supply the top
  57. /and bottom of the clipping.  The top scanline will
  58. 9be included in the scrap and the bottom will not. 
  59. CYou will also need to supply the left and right
  60. Msides of the clipping.  Again, the left line will be
  61. Wincluded in the scrap and the right will not.  If you
  62. asupply a set of numbers which are not an even
  63. kmultiple of 8 pixels, BigClipper will add to the
  64. ubottom (or right) pixels as needed and asks you to
  65. confirm or cancel the request.
  66. BigClipper displays the left side of the original
  67. /picture as it reads it in.  After the clip has been
  68. 9made, it will display the top/left portion of the clip
  69. Cand display a menu allowing you to move the
  70. Mdisplay left, right, up, or down to see the rest of
  71. Wthe clipping.  The save option writes a photo scrap
  72. ato disk and returns you to the main screen.   The
  73. kresize option allows you to select a different set
  74. uof coordinates for the cut. 
  75. BigClipper does not remove anything from the
  76. /original photo.
  77. 9Remember that there are limits to the size of the
  78. Cphoto scrap which can be pasted into geoWrite and
  79. MgeoPaint (depending on which version you are
  80. Wrunning). If you use BigClipper to make a scrap
  81. abigger than these will handle, they will truncate the
  82. kscrap to fit the limits.  
  83. uThere is a limit to the size of the buffer, and a
  84. large clip or complex photo may not fit.  BigClipper
  85. will request a new set of coordinates if needed.
