- I'm reasonably sure Becker Basic came first. GeoBasic is a nice but bugg=
- y
- program. NEVER use UPDATE from the menu or you will lose your code just
- run and close. Second is File requests and disk access seem to kill some
- pointers (the psuedo registers r0 ect,) and Bitmaps in the program will
- not be found if requseted. The disk access seems to work ok, open, load,
- save,Ect. If you change drives by getting a file (in a GEOBASIC program)
- getting back to your code is tricky and the program can crash since littl=
- e
- of the basic code is in memory at anyone time. With all that disk access
- using a REU is best( seems semles that way).
- Still it is apowerful program. Create menus with a click. Screen colors
- text disk commands are all easy and short to code. Even adding graphics
- is just clicking to import a PhotoScrap. Lots of potential here and
- with the superCPU bein shipped worth the pain for us that can't yet
- use machine code. The GeoBasic even has a comand called "CALL"
- that lets one access kernal routines. That is what I want to know
- more on. I just wish the info in the Programers Ref. Guide was uptodate.
- I found the detailed description of PhotoScrap data files to be WRONG!
- Hard to work whit that kinda support folks?
