I had this problem with the early version of the CMD Mouse.  Seems the
wires would break and cause all sorts of havoc with the Keyboard.
They have since solved that problem.

Has anyone replaced the hard drive in a CMD hard drive?

I have a 20 meg CMD hard drive and would like to upgrade the megs to abou=

I have replaced an IDE hard drive before, is it similiar to this and what

    There IS a great, fantastic little application Loadstar had for

A friend of mine has a Commodore PC 10II, about 6 years old. It is IBM
compatible and has a 40 meg HDD. He wants to add a 3 1/2" Floppy Drive
and a modem to access the 'Net. I told him he would definitely need a
bigger hard drive to do that. My question is this: will any type of
modem or 3 1/2 floppy work or do they make a special type for his
computer. I have to admit, I know nothing about Commodores and he
knows slightly more, so any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Pretty much the same in the easy/hard category.  I can wholeheartedly
recommend both Quantum and Connor, but stay away from Maxtor and Seagate.=

The lower meg Seagates have been notorious for running real hot, and
Maxtors have been known to corrupt directories and partitions without
warning.
A friend of mine had CMD-100s with Maxtors that had to be sent back to CM=
D
twice before they installed
a Western Digital.

By the way, Seagate now owns Connor.  I hope they learn how to build a
decent hard drive from them.

I wonder if Becker BASIC (came out before geoBASIC) has the same amount o=
f
bugs.  I almost bought it when it came out.  But both programs had one
limitation.  They worked for the 64 but not 128 version of GEOS.

So, I can hook up my lt. kernal to a scsi cd-rom and have it work, with s=
ome
magic s/w from someone to get it to search?  I have a double speed scsi j=
ust
WAITING to be used on my c128.
