- Coming from a BBS background, I usually don't like clutter of ads mixed
- in with other messages; so the idea sounds nice to me. However, I'm not
- really certain the number of FS/WTB/etc messages are really that big of
- a deal. <shrug> I log on here to read about once a day and get about 30=
- -50
- messages. Not really that tough to weed through. Especially compared to
- the only other major Usenet group I read, which gives me 100-300 messages
- a day. 30-50 is kinda relaxing after that!

- I have an original disk for a music program put out by a software=20

- The name of the music program is "Will Harvey's Music=20

- music in the program, please help me out.
- I pressed on the button for loading or saving music but I can't=20

- on the disk, it gives me a bunch of garble characters instead.
-
- I have been doing this way.

- LOAD MUSIC (where music is the song i wanna load)
-
- i have also tried LOAD "MUSIC" and also LOAD "MUSIC",8 and still no=20

-
- yeah, Tramiel really screwed up, but I don't see the point of your post.
-
- but I'm reminded of "Death of an Apple" and "To Kill A Commodore" demos.
- The most excellent work I've ever seen in Atari BASIC. Well there might
- be something I saw years ago but forgot, but for me these were great.
-
- "Death of an Apple" had some great sound, too. Probably the only time
- the Atari ever sounded like a real guitar. More colorful too.
- but "To KJill A Commodore" didn't need a character set file, and it had
- a lot more gags in it. There was also an ATASCII movie based on
- an Atari castle and a Commodore castle at war.
-
- I'm not sure whether the Commodore 64 people ever did anything like
- that. The only Commodore demos I've ever seen were intro-style, except
- for the occasional porno animation and one entry in the 4K demo contest
- called "stickboy", C64 demos seldom tell a story. I do remember a few
- though.

- ATASCII is a less colorful version of PETSCII. In fact there is no color=
- ,
- but you can insert and delete whole lines with one character. This
- would be great for full-screen editors, but there's no function to home
- the cursor.
-
- But if you have a PETSCII version, put it on FTP somewhere and point us t=
- o
- it.
