- Hi all,
- My backup super graphics gold interface started to print garbage and
- doesn't line feed properly. I have had this on occassion over the
- years and sent the offending unit to Xetec in Kansas. Since they are
- no more I wonder if anyone can offer a solution to the repair either
- by doing it myself or sending it out for repair. I have been in
- contact with a gentlemen in Colorado who does this as a hobby and he
- has been helpful and may take the unit for repair should my efforts
- fail. I was just wondering if anyone has any further info on this or
- by a remote chance a working unit for sale?=20
- Thank you

-
- I tend to receive Emails of the nature that "I have this old computer...
- where can I sell it?" Or a sometimes someone is looking for a specific
- item. I usually refer them to this group. I also do the same when
- asked about hardware/software that I either don't have time to answer,
- or feel a "collective" answer from the newsgroup would be better than
- what I can offer.
-
- For questions regarding specific programs (Dialogue, Novaterm, Desterm,
- etc) I actually prefer if the person has access to the newsgroup that
- they ask here. Variety is the spice of life, and having several
- answers that each shed a different light on a subject benefits not only
- the person who asked, but also those who read the group and may have the
- same questions or problems.
-
- And for those of you wondering, I *do* field QWKRR128 and QWKie
- questions in Email. :-)
-
- Anyway, I digress.....

- JB>
- JB> Therefore, I suggest that others consider the notion of creating

-
- The last time this was brought up, I was all for it, but couldn't voice
- my opinion. And I'm still all for it, but would like it to be less
- specific than "comp.sys.cbm.forsale".
-
- May I suggest "comp.sys.cbm.classifieds" instead?
-
- This would give those who are searching for specific items a place to
- post, too.
-
-
- One of the complaints about this idea last time it was discussd involved
- a concern that there would be a lesser audience for those selling or
- looking for things. Let's look at this in a new light. Those people
- who spam think posting in every newsgroup is reaching a wider audience
- too. Sure, but they are also missing the point of advertising.
-
- If you have a "target audience" (such as comp.sys.cbm.classifieds would
- be), you're reaching those people who are truly interested in reading
- your posts. I'd rather have 10 people who are interested in buying my
- Plus/4 read my post than have 1000 people read it that are more
- interested in using programs or discussing CMD products.
-
- JB> don't own... Also, people interested in discussions are rarely in

-
- I for one would follow both groups, and would really appreciate being
- able to read all the classifieds together in one group rather than
- reading them scattered between discussion posts.
-

-
- Yeah, bummer. :-)
-
- JB> It'sjust a thought, and I just thought I would drop the idea in

-

- The following is a list of cartridges that may or may not have been

- in the UK. As you can tell, I'm kinda in severe need of extra
- information about the console/about the games/confirmation of
- release of games, so please feel free to donate any information
- you have (especially if you're from the UK, or actually own the C64GS)
-
-
- These cartridges were taken from advertisements in a 1991 issue=20
- of Commodore Format. The prices seem to be an average of 20 Pounds
- Sterling.

- These titles are definite... (well, they're definitely mentioned
- in ads. :-) )
