I don't really see how Desterm 2.00 could be improved a whole lot!

Here's what I'd LIKE to see in a new version:

Desterm recognizes a modified 2 Meg REU to allow a 1581 size RamDisk and=20
a bigger capture buffer.

Additional transfer protocls: Z-modem and Kermit

Some added commands to the buffer editer, like repasting lines that have=20
been deleted via Control-Y. (This is not a high priority though).

Give me these and I'll gladly pay another $25 registration!

I've just recently bought a Mach 5 fastload cartridge from a gentleman=20
via this newsgroup. Unfortunately he does not have the user manual for=20
this cartridge, the Mach 5 Fast Loader.

Is there anyone out there that has made up an electronic version of the=20
manual they would be willing to share? Any helpfull hints would also be=20
appreciated.

without any problems.  No copy-protection there! (Yes, it's an original;  both copies!)

There were more Commodore magazines than "Commodore Magazine". I do
publish articles, fotos and old ads from the magazine "Happy Computer",
with permission of the copyright holder, at http://www.8bit.com - still
much "work in progress".

Yes they made (to my knowledge) four variates, one for the IBM, APPLE,
C64/C128, and ATARI...  I do believe the interfaces built into each of
these was different and NOT compatable with any of the others...
I have a c64 KOALA PAD and a few years ago was given an APPLE K-PAD
and have had no luck with devising a home made interface...  I even
attempted to find the IC that was used in the c64 interface to build
another from scratch but the chip number is unlisted in all of my
referances- probibly a custom chip that KOALA TECH. made and can not
be purchased anywhere....  So, I don't think you will have much luck
with getting it to work on a c64, but if you find a way, please let me
know...  The only thought I have is look for someone who has a c64=20
K-PAD maybe with a bad (torn/worn) drawling pad (but the interface is
ok) if you could buy it cheep, the actual black "touch-pad" is the same
from one variaty to another so all you would need to do is to swap the
touch-pads and use the c64 K-PAD like that...
