- I really dislike dongles too, but I think you've missed something. Read =
- your=20
- license agreement. It should stipulate the number of machines you are=20
- entitled to use it on, and I'll bet it's one. If your lucky it will say =
- more=20
- than one machine so long as you are the only user and no more than one co=
- py=20
- is running at a time, but these licenses are rare in the home market. =20
- Contrary to popular belief, you do not own the program, you are only bein=
- g=20
- given the privlidge to use it. A software author generally feels if it i=
- s=20
- being used on more than one machine he should be compensated for it (and=20
- rightly so!).
-
- Ya I know, it sucks, nobody said you had to like it, you had the option o=
- f=20
- rejecting the license and returning the software. Since you've evidental=
- ly=20
- accepted it, you are bound to the conditions of the license, what ever th=
- ey=20
- may be. Those are the only rights you have, regardless of your beliefs. =
- =20
- Incidentally, somebody asking for this in one of the PC groups would be=20
- asking for a stoning from the SPA--not only per the license is it illegal=
- to=20
- use it on more than one machine, but it is generally stipulated that it i=
- s=20
- illegal to reverse engineer or alter the software, or create more than on=
- e=20
- copy of the software which is to be used for archival purposes only.
-
- Why don't you contact Mad Man and explain your situation? They might be=20
- willing to sell you a second dongle.

- Nope aint gonna do that Gord. Games are particularly protected and
- usually will run only on the 1541 drive and usually in 64 mode. So your
- certainly not gonna get 360k on a 5 1/2 DSDD disk. You will get the
