I read last March that this new drive was supposed to start shipping on
certain Compaq models starting in April, was there a delay? I saw at
least one ad in the July Computer Shopper for the LS-120 disketts, so I
thought it might actually be available. It would be nice to see this
drive become popular, so CMD could make a version for us C=3D users. :)

I used to run an Ivory BBS? Does anyone remember. I spent about 6 years
starting with 6485 v1.2 on a 64 with 2-1541's and a Total
Telecommunications 300 baud modem? If you were an Ivory sysop you probab=

read my user instructions that I wrote and Bill Jackson included in the
update packages.
I still have a good deal of 64/128 material available on my system and yo=
u
can telnet to it now. Logon as Guest with a password of Guest to look

Currently, the CMD-HD does not handle the disk change. That has to
be done by an external program, or by altering the partition info
yourself.

There have been more than one person ask about write-protecting with
the Zip drive. It really is not a problem like most people think. All
you have to do is push the 'Write-Protect' button on the front of the
CMD-HD and nothing will get written or deleted on the Zip drive.

=20
The Zip drive has a second port for an additional pass-through allowing
more devices to be connected. So, you could have the CMD-HD with a Zip
drive connected and then a CD-ROM drive connected to the Zip.

Not really sad, just understandable. Think for a moment. The C64 (and b=

I wrote a disassembler. It was written in BASIC and therefore extremely=

slow. But I wrote it so I could get disassembly printed on my printer in=
four=20
columns. Mabey I'll dig it up along with the other hundred things I=20
promised to dig up and upload it.
