- This is just to announce that as of July 1st, "Meeting 64/128

- The president is Tom Adams. ( tom.adams@neteast.com), and his
- address is 4427 39th St., Brentwood, MD 20722-1022. If you=20
- have the address of the group in a user group list or whatever,
- please correct it to the new address. Inquiries about the group
- and about membership should be addressed to Tom.=20
- We do not exchange newsletters with other groups. Howver,
- all articles of general interest in each newsletter are
- uploaded to Genie in files entitled "Hi-lites July 96", or
- etc, and other groups are welcome to any of them if credit is
- given to our group.=20
- This is a by-mail group with about 250 members. We are
- very useful to those who have no available local Commodore
- user group. However, many who belong to local groups also join
- our group for a chance to get acquainted with Commodore users
- all over the U.S., and some in Canada and Australia. The group
- has been going strong for over 10 years now. Dues are
- reasonable indeed. Ask Tom Adams for more details.=20

- I cant answer the first part of your question except to say possibly the

- Ummhhh. Lemme guess. In a C128 on the 8502? That being
- the difference between the 8502 and the 6510, as the subject header
- would suggest is part of the topic? I guess you'll have to look

- thinking how *stupid* CBM was for wasting the two extra IO lines
- as they did, when they could have used it for memory banking to
- get expanded memory that could be put into a daughterboard in a
- C64. The lack of incremental upgrades for the massive C64
- installed base to some of the C128 capabilities is one big reason
- the 128 software market got locked into "C64 mode" to such
- a great extent.
