  5. A change in the dialer routine made by Hawley/Hazen prevented 
  6. long dialing strings with delays in them (like credit card calls) 
  7. from going through properly.  The MRESET call was coming too 
  8. soon.  A longer delay in TSTR fixed the bug.  The count given to 
  9. be register was originally 40.  A change to 0 (making it in 
  10. effect 256) solved the problem.

  14. -A "jr clkok" instruction was added at the end of the clkok:
  15. routine after the call to fnamz to enable recognition of the
  16. DU spec in the default data filename.
  17. -In ZDB18.B, added 2 instructions which send "ATZ" to the
  18. modem after completion of dialing. This leaves the modem in
  19. a well defined standard state for subsequent use by other
  20. communication programs which may not reset the S7 register.

  26. Bug fixes in this release:
  27.      1.  A problem with editing after using the Find command has 
  28. been corrected.  The bug was creating a second record and 
  29. appending it to the file rather than changing the existing one.
  30.      2.  Problems some users have with the formfeed after 
  31. printing labels has been fixed through elimination.  After each 
  32. label is printed the printer now gets a reset string to restore 
  33. the printer to its defaults.  The final formfeed after a label 
  34. printing session is gone.  This was never a problem to me, but 
  35. some users have complained and pleaded for mercy.  Now granted.

  37. Changes in this release:
  38.      1.  Default data file name may now have driver/user prefix 
  39. as part of it.  This is configurable with the CFG file.  Up to 16 
  40. characters may be in the file name.
  41.      2.  I have gone back to a single version of ZDB rather than 
  42. separate ones for ZSDOS and Z3Plus.  V. 1.8 uses the DSLIB clock 
  43. routines for portability.

  45. Problems not resolved:
  46.      I received one note about a problem with zero length printer 
  47. strings.  I have not been able to duplicate the problem.  If you 
  48. run into this, please give me some details.
  49.      Some users find that their printers can't handle both NLQ 
  50. and Emphasized print at the same time.  The distribution version 
  51. is set up this way.  If you have a problem, use CFG to change 
  52. your printer strings.
