- Welcome to PIPMAG - The Online Magazine of GEnie's National CP/M
- RoundTable!
-
- PIPMAG, as originally conceived, was dedicated to the education,
- edification, and entertainment of Commodore 128 CP/M'ers. Well, It's
- not just for Commodore any more!
-
- The CP/M Survey shows that while many of you who responded use
- C128's, there are a lot of other machines represented. This issue -
- PIPMAG 4 - marks the beginning of our attempt to please everybody, at
- least a little.
-
- Just as PIPMAG is new to many of you I am new to PIPMAG. In
- fact, my sole claim to the job of editor is that when it was offered I
- said yes.
-
- I could ask, at this point, that you bear with me as I get the
- kinks ironed out. I won't do that. I want your active participation.
- I tend to take a lack of criticism as approval. If there is something
- you don't like, let me know. Otherwise, be prepared to put up with it
- forever.
-
- Topic 3 in Category 4 is for PIPMAG. Feel free to criticize,
- make suggestions, ask questions, or let me know what kinds of articles
- you would like to see in future issues.
-
- While "those in the know" wrote CP/M off as dead years ago, there
- has been a remarkable resurgence recently. This is due in part to
- Commodore's now abandoned 128, but when C.O.M.B. had a batch of Kaypro
- II's a year or so back, they sold out almost instantly.
-
- There are all kinds of new and exciting things happening in the
- CP/M world these days, both hardware and software. We will try our
- best to keep you informed of them.
-
- I hope you find this and all future issues of PIPMAG both
- enjoyable, informative, and useful.
