file with either a forced global change, or a search and replace change.
You may also invert the graphic image data, so that the colors become reverse. This actually inverts the high resolution bit image of the file, it does not alter the ordering of the color nybbles that some programs use for color swapping.
Inversion is a global operation.
Operation is simple:
Select the
@Convert
main menu.
Selecting
@Modify geoPaint
will open a special file handling dialog box to allow you to select the file to convert. You may choose any of the first 245
@geoPaint
files on the currently open disk.
You may select the proper file in several ways: Use the scrolling icons (when there are more than seven files) to move along the list of names. The
@CURSOR UP/DOWN
keys may also be used to move the file list up or down one name, the
@CURSOR LEFT/RIGHT
keys to scroll the file list up or down a 'page' of seven names, and the
keys to jump to the top or bottom of the file list.
Once the file has been selected, a special dialog box will be openned up.
This dialog box will report to you the name of the source file seleceted from the previous file requester.
It will also report which device it will be writing the output file to and what the name of the disk in that device is.
You will be presented with four gadgets and three icons to select from.
The four gadgets are:
@Change foreground
, effect only the foreground colors.
@Change background
, effect only the background colors.
@Search & Replace
, instead of a 'dumb' global replacement, check the prevous color for a match before actually replacing it.
@Invert
, invert the graphic image data, not the color data.
These four gadgets may be selected in any combination. All four may be active at the same time. (An active selection is marked by a filled black gadget icon.)
The three icons are:
, option selection finish, continue program.
@Drive
, (only appears on multi-drive systems) changes the active storage device.
@Cancel
, drops back to the main menu handler.
Once you have selected
to execute the color operation(s) of your choice, you will be presented with up to two dialog boxes from which you may choose the colors you wish to use.
If only
@Invert
is active, then there are no further options and no dialog box will appear.
@Change foreground
is active, then the foreground color selection dialog box appears.
@Search & Replace
active,
the dialog box allows you to select what color to look for in the foreground color data. Only this color will be effected by the program.
@Search & Replace
inactive,
the top half of the dialog box will be deactivated and will appear onscreen
Pghosted
. The program will then replace
Pevery
foreground color nybble.
In the bottom half of the dialog box you may select the color that you wish to force into the foreground color nybble.
@Change background
is active, then the background color selection dialog box appears.
@Search & Replace

@ChromoPhobe
Pshareware,
and if you find yourself using the program to any great degree, a donation of $5 would be appreciated.
I am in the process of developing new
@GEOS
software. I would welcome any suggestions for new programs to be forwarded to me for possible development.
