CHIBIT codes/decodes hi-bit data from .DO (ASCII) files. Hi-bit data is ASCII character codes 128 - 255. These are characters created on a Model 100, 102 or 200 with the CODE, CODE/SHIFT, GRPH and GRPH/SHIFT keys. Stock Model 100, 102, 200 computers can not upload or download ASCII files containing hi-bit data without the aid of a binary transfer protocol program like XMODEM.
