  12. The dialer has 3 functions.  A
  13. description of each function follows,
  14. along with information needed to
  15. utilize each of those functions.
  16. 1) PC PURSUIT DIALER:  When you are
  17. asked if this is to be a PC Pursuit
  18. call, answer yes.
  19. Later you will be asked for PC Pursuit
  20. area code(s) to dial.  You may select
  21. up to 10 by typing the 3 digits of
  22. each, followed by enter.  The last
  23. entry is followed by pushing enter
  24. twice.  These numbers will be dialed on
  25. a rotary basis, one after the other.
  26. When connection is made, an alarm will
  27. sound to alert you.  Press any key, and
  28. the program will automatically advance
  29. to the local dial section.
  30. 2) LOCAL DIALING:  You will be asked
  31. what numbers to dial.  You may enter up
  32. to 10, in the same way as described in
  33. the section above.  They will also be
  34. dialed on a rotary basis, one after the
  35. other.  The entire list will be
  36. repeated as many times as you select.
  37. When connection is made, an alarm will
  38. sound to alert you.  If you are using
  39. the version that is set up to use with
  40. Fast-Term, push any key to advance to
  41. Fast-Term.  Otherwise, immediately boot
  42. your terminal program.
  43. If you have selected the option to put
  44. the called system on "hold", you must
  45. then push control Q to release the
  46. called system to begin transmitting.
  47. ^^NOTE: Not all systems will accept
  48. this option.
  49. 3) VOICE DIALING:  Because modems
  50. cannot recognize a voice answer, you
  51. must listen to the calls, and pick up
  52. the phone when you hear a successful
  53. connection made.
