  1. NGC7331 is a spiral galaxy believed to be
  2. very similar to our own in appearance. It
  3. has a mass close to 150 billion suns, and 
  4. a luminosity 50 billion suns. In 1959 a 
  5. supernova was spotted in one of the arms, 
  6. which reached a magnitude of 12.7.
