  3. I am trying to find out the pros and cons and also any issue of porting from
  4. TLI to XTI. The following are some questions that I have:

  6. 1. Are there any major functionality and feature changes?
  7. 2. What are the benefits of using XTI instead of TLI? For example, XTI
  8. documentation mentioned about being UNIX independent. How does it differ
  9. from the TLI in that aspect?
  10. 3. What is the scope of porting TLI to XTI, meaning that, does the port
  11. involve changes strictly in tli library or does it involve more?
  12. 4. What are the drawbacks of this update? What kind of impact will the
  13. update be to the exsiting underlying drivers and applications that
  14. utilize the library?

  16. Any comment and experiences are helpful and appreciated.
