  3. The specifics of standards compliance can best be acquired from individual
  4. corporations. As noted, Tandem and HP have announced support. Other legacy
  5. systems also have announced support, including IBM, Unisys and DEC. Many
  6. companies still hold the details confidential.

  8. The other question you asked was a brief explanation of each POSIX group. I
  9. would strongly suggest the 'Open Systems Standards Tracking Report', Volume 1
  10. Number 3. It is put out by DEC, and is freely distributed (thank you!).
  11. Requests for copy can be directed to leblanc@decvax.dec.com. The format of
  12. each edition varies. This particular one (dated April 1992) lists all the
  13. working groups, their mission, sometimes talks of when they are going to ballot
  14. and lists the chair/vice chair. On page 5, it also talks about how these
  15. different working groups will factor into future releases of 9945-1, 9945-2
  16. and 9945-3. (That is P1003.4 will not be 9945-4, but rather included in several
  17. chapters of 9945-1).
