- I just got a letter from someone asking about the sudden "reposting" of
- messages from May and June. For the benefit of those of you who haven't been
- keeping up with the traffic in news.admin, I will explain.

- There is a *net-wide* re-propagation of news going on for some reason. The
- various Usenet "major" site admins are attempting to track it down; in the
- meantime, old messages are showing up in all newsgroups. We'll all have to
- bear with it until the "time warp" is found and eliminated. Archivers, take
- note -- beware of repeat messages.
