  23. This announces the September version 1.0.6 of the Comp.Object FAQ - just in
  24. time for my birthday!  It has many updates and corrections and has several
  25. very up-to-date appendices on object-oriented methodologies and systems.
  26. While a new section on miscellaneous commercial systems and libraries is
  27. still in the works for completeness, this document may very well comprise
  28. the latest and most up-to-date collection of object-oriented systems and
  29. terms in the world today!  There is also a potential upcoming merge with the
  30. new C++ Libraries FAQ.

  32. I will try to update the FAQ monthly with system entries and information from
  33. the net.  I have a new TQM system in place which should proceed from the
  34. old Level 1 to Level 5 in no time - not hard for a one man job.  *Many*
  35. thanks to the patience of those sending system updates and corrections,
  36. my new system should provide fast acknowledgement, inclusion (within a few
  37. weeks) and tracking, and 6 sigma quality should provide essentially defect
  38. free performance for the FAQ.

  40. Sending comments, suggestions, additions, updates, corrections, and new
  41. systems and site entries is strongly encouraged and should be directed to
  42. the author at rjh@geodesic.com.

  44. The FAQ is posted to the comp.object, comp.answers and news.answers newsgroups
  45. and is available via anonymous ftp from zaphod.uchicago.edu and rtfm.mit.edu,
  46. although new versions may take a short period of time to be installed.
