The female condom is a new contraceptive. It is a barrier method of contraception - it stops sperm from coming into contact with ova. It looks like a very large condom.
The female condom is inserted fully into the vagina. One end of the condom is open and this hangs out of the vagina. The man puts his penis inside this opening. When he ejaculates, the sperm is contained inside the condom.
