For this activity you will need to look at the movie clip of cell division. Familiarise yourself with the player controls such as freeze frame and still advance.
Play the video clip and record how many cells there are at the beginning of the clip. Use the still frame and frame advance buttons to control the movie.
Now record how many cells there are at the end of the clip.
What happens when the cells divide?
If the whole sequence takes ten hours before being speeded up on film, how long does it take for each cell division?
