All cells consist of a complex material called protoplasm. Cells are made up of three basic parts.
There is a great variety in the size, shape and function of human cells, but they all have the same basic make up.
Go to the next page for some examples of human cells. Return to the Cells menu (Green) and select Cell structure for a more detailed look at a cell.
