The lungs are used for breathing. They take in air containing oxygen and pass this via the bloodstream into all the cells in the body.
Two tubes called the bronchi enter the lungs from the windpipe. One leads to each lung. The bronchi divide like the branches of a tree into smaller tubes called bronchioles.
Bronchioles have bubble like sacs at the end called alveoli.
